Some FAQ's

    • Eurovision Sport is a digital streaming platform that ensures sports content is available and accessible to every audience. The platform streams events live and on-demand in a free-to-watch model, complementary to coverage provided by the EBU Members.
      
      In collaboration with EBU Members, broadcasters and national athletic federations, the initiative of our digital streaming platform is to ensure that every second of every event collectively acquired has coverage. Promotion and collaboration are the key drivers to increase the platform's audience and to generate a community around free access to sports content.
    • The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) is the world's leading alliance of public service media (PSM). We have 112 member organizations in 56 countries and have an additional 30 Associates in Asia, Africa, Australasia and the Americas.
      
      Our Members operate nearly 2,000 television, radio and online channels and services, and offer a wealth of content across other platforms. Together we reach an audience of more than one billion people around the world, broadcasting in 153 languages. We operate Eurovision and Euroradio services.     • The EBU Members form the largest community of public service media organizations in the world. To find out more about the EBU Members, please go to https://www.ebu.ch/about/members
    • On web, click "Sign Up For Free" in the navigation bar and follow the step-by-step instructions. On app, click on the Settings tab, then click "Sign In" and "Create Free Account". You'll be required to verify your email by entering the 6-digit code we send you. After that we'll ask you what sports you like and some personal information like name, year of birth, gender and location.
      
      You can skip this part if you want to get straight into watching some content, however you will be required to provide this information to continue watching. Alternatively, click on any content to start watching and you will be prompted to create an account to continue watching.
    • While you should try and make your password as strong as possible, your password must be between 8-64 characters in length.
    • Yes, absolutely. We're an ad-supported platform so you don't have to pay, you will however need to create an account to watch content.
    • Unfortunately, not right now. If you would like to use a different email address, please create a new account with your preferred email.
    • If you are logged in, click on Settings, then go to My Account > Account Details > Change Password. You will need to enter your old password first and then your new one. Your new password must be between 8-64 characters in length.
    • On web, click "Log In" in the navigation bar and then "Forgot Password?". On app, click on the Settings tab, then click "Sign In" and "Forgot Password?". Before you can reset your password, you'll need to verify your email by entering the 6-digit code we send you. You can then enter your new password, which must be between 8-64 characters in length. Your new password will be saved, and you will be logged in automatically.
    • The email should arrive immediately, however if you don't receive it in a few minutes, please check you spam folder in the first instance. If you still didn't receive it, please contact us at support@eurovisionsport.com and we will help you get set up.
    • On web, click on Settings, then go to My Account > Delete Account then click "Delete Account". On app, click on Settings, then go to My Account > Delete Account then click "Delete Account".
      
      Please note, deleting your account will permanently deactivate your profile, and delete all information linked to your account. This action cannot be undone.
    • When you first land on the website or download the app, you can watch a short, ad-free, 5 minute preview of the content you clicked on. After this, you will either need to log in or create an account.
    • Our app runs on mobile and tablet (iOS & Android). For optimal performance and experience, we recommend using the latest Android an iOS version available, but we will support the previous versions.
      
      Our web application can be accessed on desktop, mobile and tablet (iOS & Android) and is compatible with the following browsers:
      
      • Chrome (Android, iOS, Mac, Windows)
      • Safari (Mac, iOS)
      • Edge (Mac, Windows)
      • Firefox (Mac, Windows)
      
      For optimal performance and experience, we recommend using the latest version of browser.
      
      Operating systems supported are macOS Ventura or later and Windows 10 or later (PC). Linux OS is not supported.
    • Our app supports Chromecast and Airplay as casting technologies. Chromecast works with Android and iOS devices, as well as Chrome browsers on Windows and Mac computers. Airplay works with iOS devices and Mac computers, as well as some smart TVs that have Airplay built-in.
      
      Our app has been tested and confirmed to work with the following devices for casting:
      
      • Chromecast 3rd generation
      • Nvidia Shield
      • Sony Bravia TV (with Chromecast or Airplay)
      • Apple TV
      • Mac computer (with Airplay)
      
      Other casting devices will also be supported, but they have not been verified yet.
      
      If you encounter any issues with casting, try these tips:
      
      • Make sure your device and your casting device are on the same Wi-Fi network and have a strong signal.
      • Make sure your device and your casting device have the latest software updates.
      • Restart your device and your casting device and try again.
      • Check the volume and mute settings on your device and your TV.
      • If you are using a VPN or a proxy, disable it and try again.
    • We currently support the following languages:
      
      • English
      • French
      • German
      • Spanish
      • Portuguese
    • If you get an "Invalid Password" message or you forgot your password, you will need to reset your password by clicking "Forgot Password?"
      
      If you know your password is correct, you may need to clear your cache. On Android, go to Settings > Apps and Storage > Eurovision Sport > Storage > Clear Data and Clear Cache. On iOS go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage. Now tap Enable next to Offload Unused Apps.
      
      If you're still having trouble, please contact us at support@eurovisionsport.com and we will help you get logged back in. Please put "Password" in the subject line.
    • Occasionally this error occurs when we are performing maintenance on the platform. If you are trying to register or log in and you see this message, please contact us at support@eurovisionsport.com and we'll help resolve this for you. Please put "Login" in the subject line.
    • We recommend always using the latest version of the app. We update it every few weeks with new features and improvements to existing features.
    • Competitions from a wide selection of International Federations are available, with more being added every month. You can find all the upcoming competitions on the homepage, but if you are looking for something particular, head over the Sports/Explore section, where you can browse by Sport or Federation.
    • Yes. We are constantly adding more and more live content to the platform. On the homepage, check out the Live & Upcoming rail to see what is currently live and what is coming up in the next few days. If you want to see live and upcoming competitions for a particular sport or federation, head over to their specific pages in the Sport / Explore section.
      
      We also provide a full 7-day programme guide (EPG) which you will find by clicking "Schedule" in the navigation bar. Days are grouped by competition, so if you don't find what you are looking for right away, scroll down.
      
      You can also click on a competition card to take you to the competition schedule where you will see what events are being shown on what day.
    • It depends on where you live. Once you have created an account you get unlimited access to all the competitions on the platform which are available in your region. Most live content will have restrictions in certain territories, where rights-holders are providing coverage to these competitions, we call this geo-blocking. If the rights-holder is an EBU member you may be redirected to their player.
      
      In some cases, and in certain territories, the competition will not be available at all on the platform. In this case the content is geo-filitered, which means the entire competition is exclusively licenced by specific broadcasters in particular regions and we cannot show it on the platform.
      
      In most cases, full replays and highlights of the event will be freely available after the live stream ends, except where the competition is geo-filtered in your region. You will find the latest content on the homepage, or you can go to the specific Sport or Federation to find more archive content.
    • Yes. Full replays and/or highlights of the event will be freely available after the live stream ends. In most cases, this content is available no matter where you are watching from.
      
      Replays will be made available as soon as the live stream ends. Highlights and other featured content will be available following a short delay after the live stream ends.
    • This is based on the geo-blocking that is active for that particular competition, where a national broadcaster is providing coverage in your territory.
    • During live streams, where possible, we provide you with different feeds to so you can choose which specific content to watch during the event.
    • All our live streams are output in Full HD to give you the best viewing experience possible without taking up too much bandwidth.
    • Yes. You can change this on the app by going to Settings > Video > Resolution and choosing High, Medium or Low. This is especially useful if you are using data to stream content as streaming high quality video can lead to unexpected data charges on your mobile data plan.
    • We recommend a minimum speed of around 3Mbps for standard streaming and 5Mbps for HD streaming.
    • On the app, go to Settings > Video > Auto-play Settings and choosing On, Wi-Fi Only or Off. Auto-play is switched off by default.
    • Yes. Although we mainly have English and ambient sound as the default language, we do offer some of the bigger events in both French & German. We also have AI-generated commentary for some events, so it's worth checking the audio settings when watching content. If your preferred language is available, you can save this as your preferred audio, so if in the future we offer that language again we will automatically select it for you. You can change this preference whenever you like in settings. Look out for the "multi-audio" label on the thumbnails when there are additional audio options available.
    • Yes. You can stream content on multiple devices simultaneously.
    • Streaming and buffering issues can be caused by many factors. Firstly, ensure you are connected to Wi-Fi or have a strong cellular internet connection. Otherwise, refresh or close and re-open your App/Browser.
      
      You may also be experiencing a video streaming issue if you have seen one of these notifications:
      
      • An error has occurred (e.g. SHAKA ERROR)
      • Playback error. Tap to retry
      • Connection to server lost
      • This video is unavailable
      • Something went wrong. Tap to Retry
      
      On mobile, try the following to resolve any of the above issues:
      
      • Restart the Eurovision Sport App
      • Close other Apps (if too many are running simultaneously)
      • Restart your device
      • Uninstall and reinstall the Eurovision Sport App
      • Update to the newest available version of the Eurovision Sport App

    • Please close and re-open the app. This usually resolves most issues.
    • No, we haven't implemented this feature yet. However, if you wish to reach out during Live events, please contact us at support@eurovisionsport.com and we will do our best to resolve your issue.
    • Yes, we'd love to hear from you. Please submit your feedback us at support@eurovisionsport.com and we will pass it on to our engineering team and hopefully onto our roadmap.
    • For iOS and Android devices, try the following:
      
      1. Force close all apps including Eurovision Sport app, then open the app again
      2. Restart your device
      3. Uninstall and re-install the Eurovision Sport app
      4. Clear cache and app data on iOS by going to Settings > General > iPhone Storage. Tap Enable next to Offload Unused Apps
      5. Clear cache and app data on Android by going to Settings > Apps and Storage > Eurovision Sport > Storage > Clear Data and Clear Cache
      6. Update the Eurovision Sport app
      7. Make sure your phone has enough storage space available

    • The content available on the Eurovision Sport platform is for personal viewing only and should not be downloaded, shared and/or recorded without the prior written authorization of EBU.
    • The necessary rights for the events listed on the Eurovision Sport platform have been secured by the EBU and EBU Members. However, some events may only be accessible in specific territories.
    • While EBU aims to make content available for as long as possible. The availability of the content may vary for various reasons such as for contractual, legal or regulatory reasons.
